Describe the bug We are using Dokku on Digital Ocean. We have a staging and live environment. The droplets keep filling up. We've tried a bunch and not sure what's going wrong. The steps we took to set them up are pretty well documented in INSTALL.md

Plan for fixing

@alexandria-gfsc I made up some stuff in terms of plan - feel free to change to what you are actually doing & paste any notes you have so far here - or link to them at least.

Ignore that close, that's me forgetting how GUIs work :P

lol. I got so excited when I saw the closed email.

I find the git GUI particularly tempting on the old close button.

Closed - see my general writeup on discord. tl;dr: deploys now work on production, current storage space usage is fine, there's no way to double check that this doesn't reoccur in the future without adding metrics or just regularly checking in on it.

katjam commented 3 years ago

@alexandria-gfsc Can you make yourself a reminder to check in on this? However you want. I am assuming it'll only be relevant to check once we've deployed a few times, and we are unlikely to forget... but maybe sticking something in the calendar or a scheduled email to yourself? I think if we just made an issue, we might ignore it.

Yeah, today I'm working a little bit on setting up a cronjob+email that'll allow us to track disk space and alert us if it grows rapidly or something seems awry :)
