Our Plausible would be my pref just to get some raw numbers for reporting?

FCHO might have an opinion on this too if they use Analytics?

Possibly

I've not looked at this yet, but have on good authority that it is by nice people: https://www.goatcounter.com/

Yes, though we should always be putting accounts etc under the ownership of the product's company. Like if we added Plausible, it should be their account, not ours.

kimadactyl commented 1 year ago

I think in this case the owner of the project is us though. Like FCHO are going to forget this the second the funding ends. Maybe another thing for our new project questionnare :)

If you want it: <script defer data-domain="towersoldham.uk" src="https://plausible.io/js/script.js"></script>

@undividual Have they asked for this?

undividual commented 1 year ago

No, but I wouldn't be surprised if they needed it for lottery reasons. (That said, maybe the lottery don't care after the site does live). I will ask Danny later today. (Unless you need to know sooner?)

Following discussion in discord earlier, adding to alpha milestone

Is this going to require a disclaimer popup asking peoples cookie permissions?

undividual commented 1 year ago

I dont know the answer to this! I am happy to design one if someone can confirm that we need it and the wording!

ivan-kocienski-gfsc commented 1 year ago

I found this that says 'no' as plausible doesn't use cookies to track you.

undividual commented 1 year ago

I agree, that sounds like a no — @kimadactyl do you agree?
