This has been an issue ever since arousal diminished over time and the SP updated as a float in the GUI (as long as any skill was equipped). I never thought to report it since I figured you would notice the FPS drop yourself during skill testing....
Anyways, I haven't updated to the latest version of AoG, but I imagine this commit could have reduced the issue: https://github.com/gegerlan/aog/commit/a26c57e3e04a373242565574d74a7a1f04051fea
I'll update and test it myself tomorrow and let you know if I notice any difference in the FPS drop.
I rewrote some checks, but I couldn't actually verify that there was an issue with FPS when I used a counter.
There is no longer any FPS drop for me, and I also like that the HUD tells me how many times I can use a given spell.
Hm, oh well... I did lower the number of refreshes, but I still can't get it to show any difference in FPS before and after the changes.
