Investigate test failures on OSX #27

I'm running the openquake-server test suite on OSX and I'm getting failures. Here's a full dump of the test output:

My hunch is that this is related to OSX (vs. Linux) but I don't know for sure.

It has to do with error handling in OSX vs. Linux.
