Enhancement: Growl Support #183

When using the daemon with a client currently you loose notification.. 
Support for growl notifications would be great for mac users, and there is also 
a growl for windows so support for windows would also be welcome.

It would be a great feature.
I recently moved transmission from Mac to Synology Diskstation and installed 
Remote GUI for remote management.
It would be nice if Remote GUI will show notifications in the same way as 
Transmission for Mac did (using Growl)

I second this. I too have move to a Synology Diskstation and it would be nice

I am using Transmission on a Qnap NAS and the GUI on a Mac.
It's only an aesthetic issue, but the standard notification is... horrible and 
the Growl support (like the standard Transmission for Mac) would be really 
appreciated.
