Enhancement: Add multiple trackers #389

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The recent addition of the "Add/Edit/Delete Tracker" is a very appreciated
addition to the Remote GUI, making it much more compelling than prior.

But it would make it even better, if it was possible to add multiple trackers
add once (Like uTorrent). Making it directly compatible with the popular format
as used by uTorrent would even make it easier to use existing services with
Remote GUI.

So if possible, this would be a great addition to an already pretty great
application in my opinion.

Hi, Really happy that this option has been added, In the past not having this
has stopped me using this application as much as I could (been reverting to
Utorrent).

However I am really missing not being able to add all my trackers and for some
torrents I will still need to use Utorrent as saying adding 10 trackers as once
just take too long :(

Thanks heaps

I would like this too
I use transmission remotely, and have many trackers I need to add
Right now have to edit the torrent file each time I use transmission

It should probably be noted that current versions of Transmission do indeed
support multiple trackers in one torrent. Unfortunately, for
transmission-daemon, not even the web GUI has a method of adding more trackers,
so right now the only method is by the transmission-remote CLI tool, so seeing
this added to transmission-remote-gui would be a big help.

I agree with y'all!. the "retrackers" list saved in rutorrent web-gui is a good
example and inspiration for adding any kind of multi trackers feature in trans
gui.

I'm another one that would like support for adding and removing multiple
trackers! It's a useful and important feature to have! :)

Shameless plug :)

I wrote a quick and dirty script that adds multiple trackers using
transmission-remote. By default it uses a list of active trackers from
trackon.org but you can easily replace that with a static text list.

If you are comfortable running shell scripts (Linux only I think - does Mac
have bash?) you might want to give it a try:
