Thisi is nuclear pore complex so this annotation does not appear to be correct? even if there is a connection to transcription

"Interacting selectively and non-covalently with a repressing transcription factor and also with the basal transcription machinery"

0003714 transcription corepressor activity IEA IPR022709

Hi Val,

Could you explain this bit more? IPR022709 matches protein SCAI (suppressor of cancer cell invasion), which does not seem related to nuclear pores.

Oh yes you need more info. This seems to be a false positive InterPro hit rather than mapping then. The pombe protein is UniProtKB/SwissProt Q09847 Nucleoporin nup146

(We don't get this hit from our internal InterProscan, gut it is in the GOA GAF)

Thanks, I understand now. I couldn't see the false positive because the signature that was causing the problem (PTHR21243) has already been removed from entry IPR022709. The change should be visible with our next release (about to happen today or tomorrow).
