Should "S-adenylmethionine dependent methytransferases" be annotated to "S-adenylmethionine metabolism"? #1502

I am having a discussion with Stan in protein2GO disputes about an annotation to "S-adenylmethionine metabolism" to "S-adenylmethionine dependent methytransferase"

Is it correct to do this? It seems that if this is just the methyl donor it should not be? This would be akin to annotating protein kinases to ADP/ATP metabolism.

Of the 9234 annotation to GO:0008757 S-adenosylmethionine-dependent methyltransferase activity in AmiGO 83 are co-annotated to GO:0046500 S-adenosylmethionine metabolic process

At least the number has gone down and not up (71 now)
