Review annotations to transcription, DNA templated and children #2933

Open pgaudet opened 4 years ago

pgaudet commented 4 years ago

"GO:0006351 transcription, DNA templated" and children should only used to annotate RNA polymerase and GTF.

Annotations need to be reviewed, and moved to the appropriate 'regulation' term.

Annotations are here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wb8NTIzOEu52T7MjLnhbXmMzZgBF_6F1NoLJRDREo3A/edit#gid=0

nobody was tagged in this ticket, but the spreadsheet might be out of date? (2020)

pgaudet commented 1 year ago

From spot-checking, most annotations have not been changed.

ValWood commented 1 year ago

Maybe nobody was notified. I didn't remember seeing this...

What about "transcription elongation factor activity (GO:0003711)" and "termination of RNA polymerase II transcription (GO:0006369)"

These should be allowed too?

ValWood commented 1 year ago

Also "

[transcription elongation-coupled chromatin remodeling](https://www.pombase.org/term/GO:0140673"

ValWood commented 1 year ago

OK I see I had done the PomBAse onse so the ones above must have been excluded.
