This might be an ontology issue ? There is a F-P link from the MF annotation
GO:0000048 | peptidyltransferase activity | IBA with P19440 , PTN002269349 , P36269 to 'translation' but peptidyltransferase activity is not restricted to translation? (this, and other non-ribosomal peptide synthesis)
Also I don't think it is a peptidyltransferase activity either? but happy to be corrected here. I didn't look in detail.
It might boil down to whether this activity is correctly defined?
The annotation for this family needed to be reviewed. Many "response to" terms were propagated. Also, I've removed peptidyltransferase activity. There is no annotation to translation in PAINT (anymore ?).
The "translation" isssue is downstream of PAINT. Inferred from an incorrect F-P link to "peptidyltransferase activity" Will be resolved by https://github.com/geneontology/go-ontology/issues/22192 (and by removing this annotation)
It is what I thought. Anyway, the family needed some cleaning.
Are all gamma-glutamyltranspeptidases involved. in translation?
GO:0006412 | translation | IBA with P19440 , P36269 , PTN002269349 | Gaudet P et al. (2011) | 665
I am picking up this mapping for pombe ggt1 Q9US04
Type of Issue: Erroneous source or erroneous propagation, or other issue I'm not sure if this is wrong or not, it looks odd from the other annotations but this could be my lack of biological knowledge about this family.
Add the label 'high priority' if needed. Generally high priority issues affect a lot of proteins, and annotations are incorrect (as opposed to just imprecise).
