As part of the project of removing single step BPs from the ontology (and moving them to MFs as appropriate), the proposal has been made to obsolete

I also wonder if we need 'post (or co)translational protein modification; looking at annotations, I think that the most informative way to capture the modifications are either as (1) processing/maturation, or (2) signaling. If we only know a protein is modified but we dont know why, I'd keep that as a MF only.

What do you think ?
