90S preribosome is a better replacement:
The 90S preribosome is an early pre-ribosomal complex involved in the biogenesis of the small ribosomal subunit (40S) in eukaryotic cells. This complex assembles in the nucleolus, a subnuclear structure where ribosome biogenesis occurs. The 90S preribosome undergoes a series of maturation steps within the nucleolus before giving rise to the pre-40S and pre-60S subunits, which are then transported to the cytoplasm for final maturation and assembly into functional ribosomes.
It should be replaced by "preribosome" because
GO:0030686 90S preribosome | is_a GO:0030687 preribosome, large subunit precursor | is_a GO:0030688 preribosome, small subunit precursor | is_a GO:0032040 small-subunit processome can all be nucleolar
Dear all,
The proposal has been made to obsolete GO:0030685 nucleolar preribosome see https://github.com/geneontology/go-ontology/issues/24626
