fission yeast msh2 is fairly well characterised and is involve din a mismatch repair pathway.

Inappropriate annotation transfer includes cell cycle arrest PANTHER:PTHR11361_AN159 double-strand break repair PANTHER:PTHR11361_AN159 intra-S DNA damage checkpoint PANTHER:PTHR11361_AN159 (these should be ermoved as checkppint signalling activation and responses are not fully conserved and these ar not implicated in checkpoint responses in this organism)

DNA damage response, signal transduction by p53 class mediator resulting in induction of apoptosis ISS (PAINT_REF:0011361) with PANTHER:PTHR11361_AN159 fission yeast has no p53 pathway (not this need a taxon lag0

response to UV-B PANTHER:PTHR11361_AN159 response to X-ray PANTHER:PTHR11361_AN159 ...indirect, uninformatice, see response to discussions

Restricted the 2 "response to" terms (UV-B and X-ray) to metazoa.

Restricting "intra-S DNA damage checkpoint" to metazoa. This should cover the parent term "cell cycle arrest," too

Restricted double-strand break repair to metazoa. At this point, all of these comments have been addressed by restricting the annotations in question to metazoa.
