The proposal has been made to obsolete GO:0141095 retrotransposon silencing by DNA methylation-dependent heterochromatin formation, and replace it replace by GO:0141010 retrotransposon silencing by siRNA-directed DNA methylation. The reason for obsoletion is that these represent the same pathway, one of them was created by error.
