GO:0030150 protein import into mitochondrial matrix is currently a child of GO:0006626 protein targeting to mitochondrion

This is a true path violation.

Targetting refers to bringing the cargo to the mitochondria. import is transport across the membrane.

similarly protein insertion into mitochondrial inner membrane should not be a descendant of targeting
