histone-serine kinase activity ; GO:NEW2 Catalysis of the transfer of a phosphate group to a serine residue of a histone. Histones are any of a group of water-soluble proteins found in association with the DNA of plant and animal chromosomes.

histone-serine kinase activity (H3-K10 specific) ; GO:NEW3 Catalysis of the transfer of a phosphate group to the serine-10 residue of the N-terminal tail of histone H3. PMID:15041176
