2 years ago GO:0140464 | silent mating-type cassette heterochromatin organization is not describing heterochromatin formation, but rather its spatial location, so we changed the term label, definition and position in the ontology to reflect this:
- new label: subnuclear spatial organization of silent mating-type cassette heterochromatin
- old def: "The organization of chromatin into heterochromatin at a silent mating-type cassette locus." [PMID:26744419] +new def: "The localization of silent mating-type cassette heterochromatin at a specific location in the nucleus." [PMID:26744419]
-removed is_a: GO:0140719 ! constitutive heterochromatin formation
- add is_a: GO:0097240 ! chromosome attachment to the nuclear envelope
These terms are siblings rather than parent child. Is there a reason for that?
