Ha ! Thanks for the clarification.
We do have GO:1903428 positive regulation of reactive oxygen species biosynthetic process ; it sounds like you would like to distinguish nitrogen species. I can create a child; what would be the siblings ? I know there is also H2O2 and many others. We could at least have a few common ones, if there are different pathways generating the different ROS.
Also - I would not use 'metabolic process'. Another point is @genegodbold and I have look at the symbiont response to this process, and we ended up renaming the term 'ROS generation', which seems closer to what we fing in the literature.

BTW I am not sure that nitrate is a reactive nitrogen?
