We have changed slightly the definition of GO:0003712 transcription coregulator activity
A transcription regulator activity that modulates the transcription of specific gene sets via binding to a ~DNA-bound~ DNA-binding transcription factor at a specific genomic locus, either on its own or as part of a complex
(and likewise for the activator and repressor children).
The aim of this change is to indicate that the binding between the dbTF and the coTF can occur before the proteins bind DNA, but that the activity takes place at the genomic location indicated by the DBTF.
I hope this clarifies the issue, ie that the term definition was not meant to capture the order of events (since they can vary).
