Term name changes - cytotoxicity terms

I have a few suggestions for standardizing the names of the 'cytotoxity' terms under to make them more uniform and to make them sound like processes rather than phenotypes. If there aren't any objections, I'll implement them in two weeks' time.

Current structure: cell killing [i] immune cell mediated cytotoxicity ---[i] antibody-dependent cellular toxicity ---[i] xxx cell mediated cytoxicity

xxx mediated cytotoxicity def: The directed killing of a target cell by a xxx cell...

antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity def: Cytolysis of target cells by...

suggest: cell killing [i] immune cell mediated cell killing ---[i] antibody-dependent cell killing ---[i] xxx cell mediated cell killing

The old term names will become synonyms.

I object completely. These term names are based on the literature and community usage for 50 years, and should not be systematized so that biologists can't find them.

Also, I would suggest you stay away from any immunlogically related terms until the GO Content Meeting.

Not all the cytotoxicity terms have cell killing synonyms, so if term name changes are going to be too drastic, synonyms could be added instead.
