Hi Everyone,
We figured out that GO has many different terms containing in part "response" "susceptibility" & "resistance".
I think resistance and(or) susceptibility is a score/attribute of determining the level/kind of "response". The "Response" is biological in origin but the "resistance" / "susceptiblity" are phenotype terms and one needs to avoid using them as function/process terms.
We (Michael, Midori, Lincoln, TAIR and Gramene) had a considerable amount of discussion on this about a year ago. As a result Leonore reframed the then existing phenotypic terms to responses, but somehow the terms with similar attributes have reappeared in GO.
Any suggestions on reframing or getting rid of them!
Pankaj
