Per request of Barry Smith (so he can't use this as an example of bad GO practice) I would like the definition of 'hemolysis by organism of red blood cells in other organism during symbiotic interaction ; GO:0052331' currently

The processes by which an organism effects hemolysis, the lytic destruction of red blood cells with the release of intracellular hemoglobin, in a second organism, where the two organisms are in a symbiotic interaction.

to

The cytolytic destruction of red blood cells with the release of intracellular hemoglobin in a one organism by another, where two organisms are in a symbiotic interaction.

which is a proper Aristotilian form.

Also 'hemolysis by symbiont of host red blood cells ; GO:0019836' currently defined as

The processes by which an organism effects hemolysis, the lytic destruction of red blood cells with the release of intracellular hemoglobin, in its host organism. The host is defined as the larger of the organisms involved in a symbiotic interaction.

should be changed to:

The cytolytic destruction of red blood cells with the release of intracellular hemoglobin in the host organism by a symbiont. The host is defined as the larger of the organisms involved in a symbiotic interaction.

Barry and I will both sleep better and he'll have to make a new slide about the faults of the GO.
