added growth hormone activity GO:0070186
From some sources, e.g. http://www.copewithcytokines.de/cope.cgi?key=Growth%20hormone, I've got the impression that the placental and pituitary forms of growth hormone are a bit too gene-product-specific for GO. I've included them as narrow synonyms for the new term.

Hi,
Please could you add NT_1. I have suggested NT_2 and NT_3 also, but I can see that these may be considered too specific for the GO.
NT_1: growth hormone activity Defn: The action characteristic of a peptide hormone that stimulates growth and cell reproduction in humans and other animals. is_a: GO:0005179 hormone activity
NT_2: pituitary growth hormone activity Defn: The action characteristic of a peptide hormone that stimulates growth and cell reproduction in humans and other animals and is secreted by the somatotroph cells within the lateral wings of the anterior pituitary gland. is_a: NT_1: growth hormone activity
NT_3: placental growth hormone activity Defn: The action characteristic of a peptide hormone that stimulates growth and cell reproduction in humans and other animals and is secreted by the placenta. is_a: NT_1: growth hormone activity
Thanks, Varsha
