NTR: Host nuclear terms #6568

Closed gocentral closed 9 years ago

  1. Host cell nuclear envelope As a child of GO:0042025 host cell nucleus and GO:0033645 host cell endomembrane system Def: The double lipid bilayer enclosing the host nucleus and separating its contents from the rest of the host cytoplasm; includes the intermembrane space, a gap of width 20-40 nm (also called the perinuclear space).

  2. Host cell nuclear membrane As a child of go:new host cell nuclear envelope Def: Either of the lipid bilayers that surround the host nucleus and form the nuclear envelope; excludes the intermembrane space.

  3. Host cell nuclear inner membrane As a child of go:new host cell nuclear membrane Def: The inner, i.e. lumen-facing, lipid bilayer of the host nuclear envelope.

  4. Host cell nuclear outer membrane As a child of go:new host cell nuclear membrane Def: The outer, i.e. cytoplasm-facing, lipid bilayer of the host nuclear envelope; continuous with the endoplasmic reticulum of the host cell and sometimes studded with ribosomes.

  5. Host cell nuclear lamina As a child of GO:0042025 host cell nucleus and go:new host cell nuclear inner membrane Def: The fibrous, electron-dense layer lying on the nucleoplasmic side of the inner membrane of a host cell nucleus, composed of lamin filaments. The polypeptides of the host nuclear lamina are thought to be concerned in the dissolution of the nuclear envelope and its re-formation during mitosis. The host nuclear lamina is composed of lamin A and lamin C filaments cross-linked into an orthogonal lattice, which is attached via lamin B to the host inner nuclear membrane through interactions with a lamin B receptor, an IFAP, in the membrane.

  6. Host cell nuclear matrix As a child of GO:0042025 host cell nucleus Def: The dense fibrillar network lying on the inner side of the host nuclear membrane.

For subcell2go mapping.
