Hi
I didn't add this term originally but it seems like it is supposed to encompass 'net membrane addition' at the site of cytokinesis.
how about:
term: membrane addition at site of cytokinesis goid GO:0007107 definition: the processes involved in the net addition of membrane at the site of cytokinesis; includes vesicle recruitment and fusion, local lipid synthesis and insertion. SYNONYM cytokinesis, membrane recruitment/generation (relationship type =)
can we just change the string name? or should we merge the old term with a new term?

One of the parts of children of cytokinesis is badly worded, and I'd like to consider rewording it or making it obsolete:
cytokinesis, membrane recruitment/generation ; GO:0007107
def: The processes of recruitment, insertion, and synthesis of membrane at the site of cytokinesis.
The biggest problem is the 'recruitment/generation' part -- we've decided to get rid of terms with slashes wherever possible, because the slash usually means the term lumps together two or more things that ought to have separate terms. Another thing is that we're a bit worried that neither the term nor the definition explicitly explains what 'recruitment' means. Although biologists will generally get the point, it would be better to use unambiguous wording.
David Hill has suggested changing the wording to 'cytokinesis associated membrane formation' -- will use this unless a better suggestion comes along.
