NTR:Arachidonic acid hydroxylase activity #9350

Hi, For annotation of P78329 (CYP4F2_human) and CYTP4A11 (Q02928) in PMID:961884 and P78329 (CYP4F2_human) in PMID:10660572, I will need the following new term:

GO:0016787 hydrolase activity --<[is a] GO:NEW Arachidonic acid hydroxylase activity --<[is a] GO:NEW Arachidonic acid omega hydroxylase activity [defn:catalysis of the reaction that converts omega arachidonic acid -> 20-hydroxy-5,8,11,14-eicosatetraenoic acid (20-HETE) [Xref 20-HETE CHEBI:34306]

Not sure if this should be a child of GO:0008392 arachidonic acid epoxygenase activity

but I think it should have a link to process term GO:0019373 epoxygenase P450 pathway or GO:0019369 arachidonic acid metabolic process

Thanks, Yasmin.

Sorry, the parent term here should be GO:0016705 oxidoreductase activity, acting on paired donors, with incorporation or reduction of molecular oxygen (and not GO:0016787 hydrolase activity )

Adding GO:0052869 : arachidonic acid omega-hydroxylase activity, KEGG:R07041

The 'omega' in omega hydroxylation refers to the position that is hydroxylated - it's C20, aka the end of the chain => 'omega'.
