[ ] If you go to R-HSA-70596 and right click on the GOT2 dimer (R-HSA-70594), the gluconeogenesis pathway (R-HSA-70263) doesn't appear on the list, but the GOT2 dimer catalyzes a reaction (R-HSA-70613) in the pathway.
[ ] R-HSA-5693783 is upstream of two other reactions in the pathway viewer, R-HSA-70581 and R-HSA-372448, but these reactions don't list it as a preceding event.
[ ] What do you make of PMID:21936773 and PMID:19807691. Both claim that NAT8L is in the ER primarily?
[ ] I'd like to take a look at my first mouse pathway together. I'm trying to model the metabolism that underlies Canavan disease. It looks like we can add some transporters to the Reactome pathway, but the metabolism differs in the CNS and adipocytes. In the CNS, it looks like NAA is made in neurons and then transported to oligodendocytes where is is broken down into acetate and aspartate. The acetate seems to be the key product that is used for lipid synthesis in myelin formation. In the Reactome pathway, it looks like everything may be happening in the same cell. This might be the case for fat cells.
