Buy new machine, to:

try and ameliorate issues like https://github.com/geneontology/pipeline/issues/316
increase overall throughput

Work with @cmungall to try and work out a budget.

I'll likely be able to start in on this more in February.

Running a little late here. It turns out we possibly had a machine waiting in the wings that could have been used for the experiment, but I was unable to revive it during an extended attempt last week. I believe it may have been cooked during the outages a little while back. So an unfortunate side trip.

Noting that I had some email exchanges with our procurement and I believe that they have no issues (anymore) with our usual vendor.

LBL procurement has started the process and I've received note from the vendor.
