Species problem in PANTHER v10 #40

In PTHR21366 node PTN000482977 is stated to be a Eubacteria.

However its descendants include mouse and worm and so forth.

Mistake?

p.s. In PANTHER v9 it was Metazoa-Choanoflagellida

In the download tree file is this "&&NHX:Ev=0>1:S=Eubacteria:ID=AN64" And in the corresponding attribute table AN64 maps to ''PTN000482977'

Not sure where you are looking Chris that this looks okay in PanTree

Digging deeper, this looks 'okay' after all. There is a horizontal transfer (at PTN001849118) above the Eukaryota branch (at PTN000482930, direct descendant), which is where the mitochondria appear. However someone tried to annotate to mitochondria (at PTN000482977) which is still Eubacteria two levels prior to the horizontal transfer and the taxon checker correctly tossed the annotation to mitochondria out.
