Migrate to the new DWS #39

Closed homme closed 10 years ago

This involves using the new WSDL located at http://csw1-dev.cems.rl.ac.uk:8180/discovery/dws?wsdl. This provides a changed interface to the previous WSDL. Dealing with these changes has resulted in a SOAP error the details of which I have copied to Steve Donegan in the hope that he can help: it looks like a failure at the DWS back end.

Steve has just replied to say he thinks it's an issue with the DWS database and will get back to me once it is resolved.

I've looked into swapping the databases but I'm getting some more errors from the DWS. I will take another look tommorow, or consult with Maurizio when he's back next week.

Thanks @SteveDonegan - that will be very useful as without the DWS to test against I'm limited in finishing off most of the other issues.

Database issues now seem to be sorted and can use the DWS at the above WSDL ok now.. A simple search shows 983 BODC records currently in the DB (will add the rest later).

Thanks @SteveDonegan - barring the DWS issues you're looking at the migration of the portal to the new DWS appears to be complete. This won't be made live until Gaynor gives us the go-ahead.
