Right now we use the OGP schema to convert to GeoBlacklight. Using FGDC raw would likely lead to better conversions.

Just a comment in this issue. I've downloaded new FGDC metadata from UCLA, Columbia, and Minnesota as well as the existing OGP institutions. I emailed @kimdurante the ~1000 FGDC records that didn't generate any MODS output using fgdc2mods.xsl (https://github.com/geoblacklight/geoblacklight-schema/blob/master/lib/xslt/fgdc2mods.xsl)

I've collected 21k+ FGDC records and put them on kurma-robots1-stage.
