Troubleshoot daterange field #298

This record, Minnesota Historical Aerial Photographs Online (MHAPO), 1920-2000, (https://geo.btaa.org/catalog/05d-09) has a value in b1g_date_range_drsim of [1920 TO 2000]. However, it does not show up in the searches using either the Time Period or Year facet.

Example search: https://geodev.btaa.org/?f%5Bb1g_genre_sm%5D%5B%5D=Aerial+imagery&f%5Bdct_spatial_sm%5D%5B%5D=Minnesota&page=2 lists the record on page 2. It is not in the 1900-1949 Time Period value and is also not available by limiting the years.

Am I doing the metadata incorrectly? Does it still need a solr_year?

All records need a Solr Year for the time period facet to function.

re-opening to come up with possible alternatives to needing multiple date fields.

Returning to this record: (https://geo.btaa.org/catalog/05d-09). During my first troubleshooting in comment #1, I didn't have a Solr Year in this record. I added the value 1920. Now, it does appear when I limit the year facet from 1900-1925 (https://geo.btaa.org/?utf8=✓&f[b1g_genre_sm][]=Aerial+imagery&f[dct_spatial_sm][]=Minnesota&search_field=dummy_range&range[solr_year_i][begin]=1900&range[solr_year_i][end]=1925&commit=Limit).
