Also, the R book has quite a few graphics on the cover. Do we want to do a similar thing here? A plot of spherical / ellipsoidal Earth would be pretty cool...
Should we add a Tyler map of Prague to the bottom? Maybe something like this:
Hmm, we could add maybe a Google Labels layer or similar so names are displayed? At least people know it's Prague in that way. I do rather like the contours in white, but we can always experiment.

This was a quick design to have something up, there's load of improvements to be made (also apart from the graphic). Feel free to come up with something. I don't want to "own" the cover, feel free to improve the graphic, or lets vote on (completely) different design(s) once it comes up.
My personal preferences/design rules I had in mind while doing the cover; the graphic should be done in Julia. it should be a single entity (the R one is of a single area, with quite different markers for different areas, imho it's too much), it should be geo (recognizable as such) and it should be/have a computation that the reader would do/recognize.
Maybe we should see if @lazarusA can help with Makie graphics too

That would be great, my Makie skills are rather limited.
@evetion you are doing great! Yours is already good.
Yes it's actually amazing already, I really like the design
