yeah this is a robtop issue, it happens in base geometry dash. its been in since the 2019 gdlite editor leak, rob just hasnt fixed it. someone could probably make a mod to fix it but who knows

unrelated but please don't treat people on issue trackers like this. they go out of their way to take free time out of their day to help you, and a "why didn't you respond earlier!!" isn't gonna make them happier - they're not getting paid for this, theyre choosing to help you

Problem is that it's not open source. So people can get impatient. I would have agreed if it was, though.

what do you mean "not open source"

Open source and source available isn't the same.

Edit: Nvm I thought the guy he responded to was a contributor.

if you're referring to me: I am not a he, go by she

also, I have contributed to Geode before (although not on this repo, but that's besides the point)

regarding Geode being "not open source": Geode is licensed under the BSL-1.0 license - which is officially certified as an open source license by the Open Source Initiative - making Geode fall under the definition of open source software.

I referred to Kingminer7. The guy polygoners1 responded to. And it is not fully open source, here's to quote: "The Business Source License (BSL) is a middle ground of sorts between open source and end-user licenses. The BSL (also sometimes abbreviated as BUSL) is considered a source-available license in that anyone can view or use the licensed code for internal or testing purposes, but there are limitations on commercial use."

RoootTheFox commented 5 months ago

Geode uses the Boost Software License, not the Business Source License - you are mixing up BSL (Boost Software License, also known as BSL-1.0) with BUSL (Business Source License) - just because something is the top google result doesn't mean its true or even the correct thing.

Geode is open source.

I also have another bug, on 2.206 geode, it says none of my mods have any updates to download. Even though the probbaly do.
