So this is a bit embarrassing. This script was accidentally committed by me in #5007. The corresponding benchmark was never finished or added, instead I merged the benchmark annulus/transient (not time_dependent_annulus/transient). So this script could never run anything and is the only file in this folder (in fact it is broken internally, as you can see since it references the variable discontinuous_pressure which is never set). It was dutifully updated in #5737 and #5903, but I never realized the script is useless.
