Examples were originally developed by Evan Marschall and Zechao Zhuo at the 2023 PyLith Hackathon and subsequenctly cleaned up and updated by Brad Aagaard. The commits from Evan and Zechao were lost during rebasing that was necessary to remove extraneous files and inadvertent changes to existing examples.
