Mapping of channels #9

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Clear all channels
2.Mark SD to update on next restart and mark Auto Add New Digital Cable
3.Restart MP Service

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Channels are downloaded and inported, problem is I am on a Hybrid Hauppauge
card (1 Analog 1 Digital).
Channels are not mapped to card and Mapping of channels only allowed on Analog
side of card.
Channels are on the Digital side of card.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Win 2008 Server

Please provide any additional information below.

I'm a bit out of the loop on this plugin these days... but I don't think it
ever did the mapping of channels.

Are you saying that you want the plugin to map channels to a tuner? Can't you
just map the newly created channels to the proper tuner in the Channel Mapping
in TV Server Config tool?

When I choose the tuner (Digital side) the channels do not show up
When I choose the tuner (Analof side) then they show up and map to that side.
Does no good if the code maps to the wrong tuner

Can't you unmap from analog and map to digital?

So, a channel is detected by the SD plugin, added to the database and
incorrectly mapped to your Analog tuner.

And you're saying that you are not able to manually map it to the digital tuner
for it to function properly.

If that's the case, then the plugin will not be able to help you.

Exactly... It is mapping to the wrong part of the card.
How does MP handle what SD is passsing into it?
If this could be fixed, there are a lot of people that would LOVE it!!
Not having to scan for channels, auto updates channel changes assigned by SD,
import of the channels is Very Fast.....

If your code is not responsible for how MP handles it, do you happen to know
who might?

It is mapping to the wrong part of the card.... I don't get this.

In the tuners section, you have an entry for the analog tuner and one for the
digital tuner? Or just one tuner?
