What steps will reproduce the problem?

Always

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect umlauts. I do not get umlauts, sometimes I get the EURO symbol.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

WebSMS 3. OS is Android 1.6 on G1.

Please provide any additional information below.
