epub paragraph style override not working

It's (theoretically) nice and useful feature but not working for me. I've used that service http://ebook.online-convert.com/convert-to-epub to convert online html book from SI ("SamIzdat") website. That service works great but for some reasons all paragraphs are .. italic. I tried to override epub paragraph formatting in settings, selected "normal" for italic (in the epub-specific paragraph settings) but nothing changed.

I don't have time right now to send you a patch but will be great to have get this issue fixed.

I confirm this bug. Tried to override existing ePub italic text:

.txit {
    font-style: italic
}

to override it and also to be bold. It doesn't work in ePub, but works with fb2. Example: https://flibusta.is/b/496619
