I think the complexity to build this feature is small compare to value we have by having this feature. How about solving your problem by using volume up-down button?
That requires using a hand :-) I don't want to pull my hands out of the warm, comfortable covers and disturb my 'nest' so that I could turn the page. It would be fantastic to just say: 'page forward'.
Having a voice activated feature would be beneficial to people with physical disabilities ... quadriplegic, amputees, older people without enough strength to press buttons, etc.
Something like this but for fbreader: http://www.sesame-enable.com/

Isn't there a whole "Accessibility" thing in Android that works across all apps?
Could you implement page turning by voice command?
Here are some sample voice commands: Page Forward Page Back Go To Page 123
Sometimes I don't want to go to the effort to touch the screen ... I'd like to tell it to just turn the page :-) Sometimes my hands are under a warm blanket and my device is set up on my knees.
