Sneak peak of Ne estimators: data format for input, arguments and format of results output #6

Hi guys - hope all is well with you all!

Our team is keen to provide users of skeleSim the option to estimate Ne of simulated populations. So, we'd like to call on one of more of your package functions! We are still developing everything... but it would be helpful to get an idea from your regarding data input, arguments, and output format. We simulate both sequence DNA (as multiDNA) and genotypes (as genind). Are there any prototype functions, or data formats you can let us in on?

We thought we'd ask before we go looking... :)

Hi Libby, sorry for the slow reply! There are two parts to our package: skyline plots and temporal Ne estimators (e.g. linkage disequilibrium Ne). For the skyline plots, the user inputs a phylo object, and for the other function a genind object.

All the best, Christine
