9 months ago If this is a change you want to make, in order to rely on an external data provider and be able to say we just used their methodology rather having our own, we can make it. However, it's worth noting that Ngor and I consciously did not make this choice -- we were very aware that ROR's hierarchy existed, and used it when we agreed with it. ROR's hierarchy doesn't match up to intuitive use in a lot of cases, so we attempted to customize in a way that would allow those relations to be made. ROR also generally only includes companies within its hierarchies if they have publications, which is quite limiting when considering companies. Anyway, it's up to you here!
PARAT currently uses its own bespoke corporate hierarchy (e.g., for associating Google with Alphabet or Google France with Google (US)).
