The description of problem

Hello,

I am using the integration for some time, all good. Today I installed a new AC(Conter by Midea), added it to NetHome Plus app, want to connect it also to HA, the device is discovered but when I am trying to add it I am getting the following error:

Can't connect to Midea cloud to take appliance‘s key-info(Token and Key)

Is there any way to re-enter the credentials for the account?

Many thanks!

BR, Ionut

Had the same issue and solved it:

use this fork to get type/token/key: https://github.com/mac-zhou/midea-ac-py/issues/217#issuecomment-1664705355

And then try to add your device manually.

I too am having the same issue. I don't know how to install this fork from above or I would use it.

I am using the same login as I do in my Midea Air app and it is not working.

Same problem here, have my SmartHome account configured and running , installed the integration in HACS but when I try to add the integration and I am asked for the Smarthome credential I get a Login error...thanks for having a look at it!

Cannot use the fork btw since it works only for ACs and I want to control a water heater..:-)

The fork I've mentioned here is not a fork of this Hassio-Addon. It just helps you to get the necessary data to add your device manually through this Hassio-Addon. So you don't need to login inside Hassio and get the login error.

It's not a fix, it's just a workaround that worked for me.

I tried to login and wasnt sure what option from 4 different types is correct. I wanted to try but now can't change anything. The readme even says:

After all appliances configured, you can remove the Midea account configuration without affecting the use of the appliance.

But how to do that?
