AWS has signed a formal agreement with Harvard to host the data for free. We need to start moving and managing the data.
Data need to be managed under an official Harvard ACMG account instead of my own account.
Use requester pay to avoid unnecessary billing and to encourage users to pull data to EC2 instead of to local machines.
Very frequently used data (HEMCO emission data + 4x5 GEOS-FP data, will just be ~ 100 GB) should also be saved as EBS snapshots, so users can create data volumes in seconds, not in minutes (if transferred from S3).
