I am attaching a sample screenshot from my local drive for some reference regarding the current structure of the page. Please feel free to let me know about your suggestions.
Right now, I am trying to resolve the following two challenges: ---- Entering links for multiple research groups of certain institutions. 'href' currently links just one research group. ---- Linking the research groups with their relevant links instead of the institution in question (esp. for those having multiple research groups).
My additional feedback on the changes so far:
@SaptSinha I created a new branch feature/update-people-page
with the updates for Harvard University as described above (see commit https://github.com/geoschem/geoschem.github.io/commit/d7548999b2832a0373c27ef2d71b5537b7c8ab4a). Feel free to continue working off of that branch or to use your own branch and pull that in.
Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, @msulprizio! I will submit a new PR that will incorporate most of these for the updated People & Projects page.

Describe the update
As per our earlier discussions, this is the first draft for the new People page that provides condensed information of all the worldwide Universities and their research group(s) that use GEOS-Chem.
Expected changes
This is a new people page that removes all the detailed descriptions and only retains the marker locations, with their 'href' IDs replaced by the University's relevant research group's webpage.
Challenges with 'href' ID/links: ---- Some Universities either have group websites missing entirely (that contains only the email address of the relevant PI), or ---- Has multiple research groups. I could not list such multiple webpages as only one link could be inserted for every 'href'. It would be great if there is a possibility of including multiple research groups' links in the 'href' sections. or insert these multiple links with dropdown options otherwise.
