When saving an edited SLD style which is used on a layer based on AppSchema complex feature type, the workspace option becomes empty, and sometimes the whole SLD definition is lost. This seems to be connected to how GeoWebCache fails to update the cached layer data for complex feature layers.
Workaround
No workaround. Save SLDs often and store them in a safe place :-)
