I was finally able to review your PR, and everything looks great!
I have a few minor changes coming after the merge including:
- Cleaning up the pop-up display (to differentiate between info and pubs), and
- Limiting the number of pubs to a maximum of 5 (to cut down on the pop-up size)

I added the ability to quickly display nearest pubs to hotels using Turf.js to use as a demo for one of my presentations (see details/video in this blog post). Not sure this is really a desirable feature for the official conference map but I promised the audience I'd submit a pull request. Happy to discuss further and help work on the map moving forward.
