Dependency updates \ Code overhaul #6

Upgraded dependencies to their latest major version.

I've also replaced uses of the "argh" crate with clap, since it has an stable version/API, is more actively maintained and contributed to by the community, and so, would make it easier to expand upon its uses throughout the crates in this repo, whether it be the binaries or for examples.

If fat binaries are of concern, additional features of clap could be disabled.
