Non-critical bug with Dropbox #19

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have both Giver and Dropbox installed (the Dropbox Gnome client)
2. Transfer a file via Giver
3. A random directory from Dropbox opens up in Nautilus

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: No Dropbox directory should open. What happens: A random Dropbox
directory opens via Nautilus.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Giver 0.1.8-2
nautilus-dropbox 0.5.0-1

Please provide any additional information below.
This is no huge problem, just strange -- you can always just close the
window. Usually Nautilus opens just the top-level Dropbox directory, but
sometimes it will open a different directory within Dropbox.

I guess this is a dropbox issue and it's fixed with its latest version (check
out the
drop box wiki for the manual download). Sometimes these old dropbox versions
bind the
whole notification bar (including notificiation popups) to open their window.
As this happened to me to all apps in the notification area this is probably
not a
giver related bug.
