Awaiting the removal of deconvolution (#235 ) which needs TensorFlow and restricts our choice of base image, Python version, etc., we could have a lighter build for cases in which someone doesn't need to run deconvolution and therefore the build could be modernised. Consider adding deconvolution optionality as a CLI or config parameter, though this would necessitate adapting the precheck requirements and perhaps which key-value pairs for filepaths are needed in the config file.
